The Sun: Lasse Hartmann amassed £133,0000 through alleged schemes

April 16, 2017

A CONMAN who allegedly spun a web of lies about his wealth, duping almost two dozen people out of thousands of pounds appeared before Snaresbrook Crown Court on 20 charges of fraud, British tabloid The Sun reported on March 29.
The 43-year-old Lasse Hartmann amassed £133,0000 through the alleged schemes, with the prosecution saying the accused conman had run the same scams “again and again”, targeting different victims. The scams enabled Hartmann to live the high life, hiring a driver and personal assistant while living in a rented luxury flat on Park Lane, Mayfair.
Hartmann of Stoke Newington, north London allegedly made excuses, saying he needed to pay duty tariffs or VAT, and that his funds hadn’t been cleared by the bank, to buy time.
