Luxury at Mallorca: Hesalight-founder bought properties worth a fortune

December 8, 2016

During the recent two years the founder of bankrupt LED-lamp company Hesalight, Lars Nørholt, bought four luxury villas at the Spanish holyday resort Mallorca, Danish media reports. The story has been dug out by commercial daily Børsen.
Altogether the fancy villas are worth 100 million DKK ($1 = 6.9977 Danish crowns).
The four properties are all located by the sea Port d’Andtratx. This area is characterized with a concentration of holyday cottages belonging to wealthy North Europeans.
The purchasing of these properties is sensational, because Hesalight simultaneously received loans amounting to 600 million DKK from several companies, loans that currently seem to be lost to the insolvent estate.
In Danish daily Børsen the story is reported by Mads Meisner and Nicolaj Vorre from Port d’Andratx.
The news item has been extensively quoted by Jyllands-Posten
